“At Les Clefs d’Or Canada, we are proud of the strong relationships we build with our preferred suppliers. Through the years, many of them become friends and many support our association by providing outstanding customer service to our Members or by sponsoring our events. We are happy to invite them on our Blog and offer them an opportunity to explain how our relationship benefits them, us and, most importantly, our clients.”

Quote: The Concierge Difference
As properties reopen, those with a concierge will be well positioned to cater to guests’ new requests. As always, they will be the confident, comforting voice providing information and stability within a hotel. The core purpose of the Concierge has not, and will not, change. They are the ultimate providers of hospitality, and we look forward to supporting them as they continue to deliver outstanding experiences and exceptional service.
I would like to introduce you to our new, young and dynamic LCDC Covid Social Media Task Force.
You may have noticed in recent days a new energy coming out of our various social media platforms. This is not a coincidence, the members of our task force are motivated, tech savvy, well connected, creative and full of new ideas. They are revamping all our accounts, re-energizing them and bringing in new content coming directly from their respective regions and also from our colleagues around the globe. Full access was given to them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin and the Blog.
We would like you to get to know us better… Here are the principles that each hotel concierge, Member of Les Clefs d’Or, is expected to uphold and that you should experience every time you interact with one of us. #lesclefsdorcanada #yourkeytoeverything

One of the very exciting parts of the Banff 2019 National Congress was the educational day. We welcomed diverse types of speakers who engaged, elevated and educated us on various topics. The afternoon was a panel discussion on “Exploring the Changing Culinary Landscape”, mediated by Ms. Dawn Chubai. Among the distinguished speakers were John Jackson and Connie DeSousa, the co-owners and chefs at the Char Group in Calgary.
On the new Canadian Food Guide, and the importance of eating green, Ms. DeSousa advised Continue Reading
A certificate of appreciation was presented to Nella Mirante for her outstanding work in organizing our National Board Meeting in Edmonton. Cindy Stewart, Alberta Region’s Director, is on the left and Carolina Avaria, President, is on the right.
A year in the planning! One year ago we discussed who could host the National Board meeting for 2018. I reached out to my regional board to see if they would support the idea of me hosting it at the Fairmont Hotel MacDonald and Don Mooney and Cindy Stewart gave me the go ahead!
Les Clefs d’Or Canada has a long standing tradition of service excellence. Our members are some of the best concierge in the hospitality industry. In the concierge business, the way you do your job is important, but also who you know can make a big difference.
In the Niagara region, a long time friend and one of the biggest supporters of Les Clefs d’Or, Crispin Bottomley, is one of those people than can and has made a big difference in how we do our job. In Niagara, tourism is vital to our growth and success, not only in Les Clefs d’Or, but as a major contributor to our economic well being. Continue Reading
This story is one of determination, self-accomplishment, passion for the concierge profession, but above all, a story of friendship. That kind of friendship that transcends and that does not know distance. Friendship that makes us grow and learn. Friendship that teaches us who we are and what we can accomplish. I am going to tell you the story of my participation as the Canadian candidate for Les Clefs d’Or Award – André Damonte 2018, held during the 65th UICH Les Clefs d’Or International Congress in Seoul, South Korea, in April 2018.
My name is Jeffrey Cobrana, I’m the concierge at the Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel. I would like to share my first congress experience from our 11th National Congress in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
On May 8 2017, Trevor Botkin, of Think8 Systems, from Montreal, Quebec, received, from the hands of Les Clefs d’Or Canada President, Carolina Avaria, a certificate of Honorary Membership into Les Clefs d’Or – UICH, the International part of the renowned concierge association, for his major contribution into the brand awareness efforts of the association.
