In 2012, Matthew Wu, concierge at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, in Vancouver, BC, was the Canadian nominee to participate in the prestigious Andy Pongco Award contest, held during the 59th International Congress, in London, England. Matthew had some very strong competition from 10 other young Concierges from around the world and he emerged as the winner of the contest.
He is the only Canadian to win the Andy Pongco Award.
