On May 5th 2015, at the 10th National Congress of Les Clefs d’Or Canada, in Whistler, BC, Carolina Avaria, Chef-Concierge at InterContinental Toronto Yorkville, was elected to become the 10th President in Les Clefs d’Or history!
She reached the highest rank of Les Clefs d’Or Canada after being Interim President, Vice-President for 4 years, National Secretary and Ontario Region Director for many more years. Carolina is also co-chair of the International Communications Committee, along with General Secretary, James Ridenour.
Carolina’s passion, energy and dedication to Les Clefs d’Or Canada has made it possible for our association to brilliantly overcome many challenges in the past year, such as changing our Statutes to By-laws, in order to register as a not-for-profit organization; re-aligning the 7 Regions budgets to the National budget to make us more efficient and accountable; and assuring that all Officers and all Events of Les Clefs d’Or Canada are properly insured.
Her main focus is also on education for our members, partnerships with Concierge and Hospitality Schools and communications with the general public and with our hotel managers.
Carolina’s continuous presence and leadership at the 19th Pan-American Congress that just finished a few weeks ago in Montreal, Quebec, has made all educational events and meetings more productive and interesting.
As we conclude today our «40 Years in 40 Days» historic serie, this final post is not about our past, but about our present and our future. Carolina Avaria is definitely leading Les Clefs d’Or Canada towards a bright and prosperous future. Vive Les Clefs d’Or!
Happy 40th Anniversary to Les Clefs d’Or Canada!
