Dear Friends,

It is my sincere pleasure to address you all, as we complete yet another year of the Les Clefs d’Or Canada story.

The National Board’s responsibility is to support and maintain a healthy membership, while facilitating networking and education at both monthly meetings and at annual congresses.  I am happy to share, that this past year, we have achieved our responsibility.

In addition to hosting successful monthly regional meetings, I would like to warmly thank the 31 members and affiliates (especially our Les Clefs d’Or Award candidate, Mark Finn), for representing us brilliantly last March, at the 64^th International Congress in Berlin. Also, a warm thank you to the over 100 of us, who gathered at the powerful 11^th Canadian National Congress last May, thanks to Co-Chairs Korey Rorison and Jamie Clarke and to Matt Sutherland – Director of the Niagara Region.

Additionally, the visit of our Vice President, Don Mooney, to the Atlantic Region in September, focused on the potential to expand into Prince Edward Island, while the highly successful November National Board meeting in Quebec City (brilliantly hosted by our Directress Francine Asselin), allowed the Board to engage with the region’s General Managers while celebrating the acceptance of 15 new Canadian Members.

Finally, in December, the Holiday and Key Presentation events (I personally had the privilege of attending British Columbia and Ontario) were all magical evenings full of joy and friendship.  Here we proudly celebrated our 2017’s achievements together with our General Managers and the individuals who really make the magic happen for our guests, our respected sponsors.

Please join me in applauding the combined efforts of our passionate Regional and National Boards, who continue to deliver a fruitful story for the membership of Les Clefs d’Or Canada.  We are thrilled to be recognized as a successful, healthy, positive and united Section, whose membership fortunately resides in arguably the best country in the world.
