I’m here to take a picture for the new LesClefsd’OrOntario Social Media Committee. Ronaldo welcomes me with a smile and his usual good mood and calmness…Ronaldo Breton became a concierge in 2002. His previous work experience as a travel agent, tour director and store manager created a desire in him to excel at customer service and led him to The International Concierge Institute in Montreal. After graduating from their Management and Concierge Service Program, he began shortly thereafter his concierge career with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, working both in Toronto and Lake Louise. The opening of Toronto’s only five-star hotel in 2008 brought his passion for service to The Hazelton Hotel. In 2011, he was promoted to Chef Concierge, giving him the opportunity to lead and inspire a discreet team of professional concierges who strive to create personal relationships and anticipate every guest’s need.
For the third year in a row, Ronaldo has welcomed our visitors in the prestigious Where Toronto magazine distributed in fine hotels across the city and was featured in “Ask a Concierge” in the March 2013 edition. He recently appeared on CTV‘s daytime television program, The Social and he also wrote an article: “How to get the Most out of your Hotel concierge”, http://www.thesocial.ca/real-life/travel/how-to-get-the-most-out-of-your-hotel-concierge.
Ronaldo has been a member of the prestigious international concierge association, Les Clefs d’Or Canada, since November of 2003. He became a member of the Ontario Region Board of Directors for Les Clefs d’Or Canada in 2009, first occupying the position of Treasurer before becoming Vice-Director. Currently, he is serving a successful second term as the Regional Director of Ontario.Q & A with Ronaldo:Craziest concierge story?
A guest left a car rental vehicle in the Brookfield Place parking lot as he could not find the car rental location. He called from the Island airport and left the car keys with the agent there. I had to retrieve the car key from an employee of Porter Airlines. Someone from security at Brookfield Place had to drive me around the parking lot in a golf cart as I pushed the button of the clicker until we found the car.Celebrity you would love to meet?
