Sea’s the day!
Les Clefs d’Or Canada’s British Columbia Region celebrated their 8th annual charity boat cruise in early September supporting the Dreams Take Flight Charity and Vancouver Aquarium‘s Marine Mammal Rescue Program.

Our 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility event transformed into a Hawaiian dance party thanks to the Heremana Polynesian Dancers who donated their time to welcome guests with live hula dancing and interactive performances throughout the evening aboard Harbour Cruises vessel the MV Britannia.
This year’s charity boat cruise hosted by our elite organization of Hotel Concierges within BC has proudly raised over $20,000 for the locally deserving causes. The funds raised aboard have equally been divided between both organizations by way of “In Service Through Friendship” the heart of Les Clefs d’Or International motto. Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives continue to be a leading representation of how Les Clefs d’Or Concierges in Canada continue to pursue opportunities to assist local communities.
Our annually supported charity Dreams Take Flight assists in making dreams come true for children from Greater Vancouver who have or may be experiencing medical, mental, physical, social or emotional challenges surprising them with a trip of a lifetime- Disneyland for a day… Hakuna Matata! Our $10,000 contribution towards Dreams Take Flight assisted in sending 10 deserving children on this beloved surprise adventure on October 22, 2019.
Our second chosen charity for 2019 is The Vancouver Aquarium’s Marine Mammal Rescue Centre. A hospital for sick, injured or orphaned marine mammals. The Rescue Centre rescues abandoned mammals and rehabilitates them for release back into their natural habitat. Thanks to the support of our attendees the Vancouver Aquarium recently rescued a newborn Northern Sea otter off the coast of Alaska found alone by a group of fishermen. Saved and named Tazlina for her adventurous spirit this little sea pup now lives with 24-hour care at the Marine Rescue Centre in Stanley Park. The Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise Programs objective is to “ensure clean oceans for generations to come”.
On behalf of all our Les Clefs d’Or BC Concierge Members we would like to thank our supported charities, sponsors, food stations, attendees and hospitality partners alike. This event could not be a success without your kindness and caring support. We look forward to growing our charitable outreach supporting the well deserving charities selected around British Columbia, Summer 2020.
