The renowned Hotel Concierges Association, Les Clefs d’Or Canada, is celebrating its 40th Anniversary of foundation and membership to Les Clefs d’Or – UICH (Union Internationale des Concierges d’Hôtels) in 2016, with celebrations throughout the year.

Our first program will be a Blog and Social Media campaign called:
«40 Years in 40 Days».
We will relive with you our rich history, one year at a time, and remember the amazing people who made it all happen since the day of our adhesion to the International association of Hotel Concierges, Les Clefs d’Or – UICH.

The story begins on November 8^th, 1976 in Lisbon, Portugal, when our first President, Mr. Herb Goldring was invited to sit at the International President’s table and Canada became the 18th Section of Les Clefs d’Or – UICH.

For 40 consecutive days, we will post a historic capsule on the Blog, one per year, showcasing the major events of our history. This program will be culminating with the Gala night of the Montreal Panamerican Congress, on March 12th at the Marriott Château Champlain, with a special presentation by UICH President, Mr. Colin Toomey.

To continue the celebrations, the second program will be a series of local and Regional
« 40^th Anniversary Toasts of the Month », throughout the year, one major event per month, each month a different Region will be in honor during a local event. A group picture and a brief description of the event will be showcased on the Blog each month of the year.

Alain Larouche, after the presentation of his movie, «LCDC a 35 Years Odyssey», to the Members present at the Toronto 2011 International Congress, receives an «Oscar» from Presidents Legrand and Daoud!

Let’s kick off the 40th Anniversary Celebrations of Les Clefs d’Or Canada by re-introducing an amazing documentary created and produced by one of our oldest members, Alain Larouche, Member of Les Clefs d’Or Canada since 1991, Concierge at Les Résidences du Ritz-Carlton Montréal.

The 47 minutes movie, «LCDC 35 Years Odyssey» takes us through the first 35 years of Les Clefs d’Or Canada through the events, the Members and the Presidents that opened the way for future generations of Les Clefs d’Or Concierges.
